Sometimes you see a face in a crowd
A crowd dense with people with personal objectives
But one face catches your eye
Eyes locked upon eyes
From across a giant hall or boulevard
And suddenly you realize that the face
The face is yours
You have stepped outside of yourself
For just a moment
And you see your own face in the throng
Perhaps it is not your face after all
But one so familiar that it feels that you own it
Lover or loved-one a face intimate with knowledge
The eyes pull the eyes plead the expression commands
And it strikes you what the face means
